| Rasteage es né le 1er janvier 1982 à Freetown Sierra Léone. N’a jamais pu rester plus d’un an dans un pays. Après avoir traverser plusieurs pays d’Afrique, un passage rapide en Californie, en Angleterre, et en Hollande, le gitan noir se retrouve en France, pose ses valises à Bordeaux, croyant être arrivé en Italie, la destination de ses rêves. Ici, démarre sa nouvelle vie, a zéro, et s’en sort en solo, apprend le française, et décide de réaliser son projet musical. Il met l’anglais (sa langue maternelle) entre parenthèses.
