| Heather was born Christine-Antoinette in the bustling city of Paris, France, into one of the country’s most elegant families. Her mother was a famous opera singer and her father was a charismatic member of parliament. The child was adored by all who cast their awestruck eyes on her. To everyone, her life seemed to be laid before her on a silver platter. However, at the tender age of one she was lunching on the Champs-Elysees with her mother when a visiting couple from the states spotted the infant girl. With no children of their own, the couple was overwhelmed by the child’s beauty and when her mother turned her eye for a second to sign an autograph, the poor childless couple found themselves powerless against their collective urge to grab the child and disappear into the city crowds. The child’s parents were beside themselves with grief and launched a worldwide campaign to find her, but the one place they failed to look was in a little farmhouse located in the middle of a peach orchard in central California. As she grew, the girl did her best to adjust to the disparity of circumstances and soon learned to accept her fate as the kidnapped child of Parisian upper class. She even learned to enjoy the quaint rural surrounds, as well as her three stepsisters who were born not long after she arrived in the couple’s home -- as is often the case. But her heritage could not be denied. She loved to sing. She sang every song she knew and when she ran out of songs to sing, she made up her own. When she left home, she joined a baroque choir and traveled around California. The group was even invited to perform at an international music festival where they toured Moscow, St. Petersburg and Prague. She loved classical music, but was still drawn to writing her own. When she returned to writing music she began to perform again and was fortunate enough to open for such well-regarded artists such as Nora Jones and Loudon Wainwright III. She is currently working on her first, highly anticipated solo album under the masterful guidance and collaboration of producer, writer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, genius and dearest friend, John Would.
