I'm a music business professional with an established career in the industry. Yes, I am a manager. Yes, this is my FULL TIME job, and I don't always have time to answer all solicitation emails from bands. We may check it out at our leisure once in a while, but don't rep hobbyists...thanks! I have been in the music business for 18+ years and toiled my way up the ranks. I've helped a lot of bands get somewhere, make contact and make their dreams come true. I also worked in Corporate America as an Executive VP of Marketing and Creative, and hold two college degrees (BFA). My business partner and I run a management company for national market acts that has been operational for 15 years called DARK MOON ENTERTAINMENT (http://www.darkmoonentertainment.com) Originally from NYC, we moved the offices to PA a few years back, and I bounce back and forth between NYC and Hollywood on business quite frequently. We are opening offices in Hollywood CA in JULY 2008. My fiancé is professional rock photographer Robert John, who has worked with major label bands in the music industry both in-and-out of the studio for over 25 years, but is best known for his work with Guns N' Roses, Motorhead, Ozzy, Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Alice Cooper, The Cult, Velvet Revolver, etc. He is also one of my clients, you can find a link to his website on the Dark Moon website as well. Television:..I don't get to watch much, I'm usually on the computer or phone or busy working. Ugh. Well, when I get a chance (or watch on the computer)...hmmm, The Independent Film Channel, Sundance Channel, HGTV, History Channel, Discovery, Food Network and TechTV. Dexter, Millennium, LOST, Dead Like Me, Jericho, Deadwood, Brimstone, X-Files, American Gothic, old Addams Family and Bewitched episodes, Cartoon Network adult swim, Ren and Stimpy, South Park, Family Guy, Simpsons, Futurama. The occasional flipping through MTV, Fuse, Much Music or VH1. |
