| Slim Chance & the Survivors were immortalized in song by legendary songwriter/producer Chip Taylor (www.trainwreckrecords.com), best known for writing many classic hits, including WILD THING and ANGEL OF THE MORNING, and for *discovering* James Taylor, producing his very first album in 1967. (AKA James Voight, Chip Taylor is the younger brother of actor Jon Voight.) 'Slim Chance,' AKA Lane Frizzell, has been fronting his band of Survivors since 1978, performing for private parties, society galas, corporate functions, etc. Over the years, they have opened shows for the Bellamy Brothers, Mac Davis, Joe Ely, Larry Gatlin, Gary Morris, Charley Pride, Roy Rogers Jr., Billy Joe Shaver, Red Steagall, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Steve Wariner. | |
