DAAH (ou DAH) signifie dans la langue FON (éthnie majoritaire au Bénin): "chef de famille / chef de clan". SOSSA est le nom traditionnel du père de l'artiste qui représente un de ces nombreux militants humanitaires de l'ombre. DAAH SOSSA rend ainsi hommage à tous ceux qui contribuent discrètement pendant toute une vie souvent au mieux être des défavorisés partout sur la planète et à l'égalité des chances entre les hommes.
Sa musique avec le DAAH SOSSA BAND exprime une quête à travers ses origines française comme béninoise, dont il se sert comme d'un guide afin de ne pas se perdre dans un monde moderne qui boulverse les valeurs d'humanité et de simplicité entre les hommes.
Ses textes en français, en anglais ou en fon, souvent traduits par des membres de sa famille expriment tant l'injustice que le besoin criant d'agir pour contribuer à un idéal d'unité et de fraternité entre les hommes. |
