Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Black and Gray some history… When hollow point started back in 2003, it was an eagerly driven band project. The fivepiece worked hard and within months a setlist of songs was written, which debuted late 2003. Received as a refreshing local (new-)metal band, hollow point played a good number of club gigs and opened for such highlights as Hatesphere and Crowbar and even substituted Ektomorf at an early stage. When Red (vocals) had to leave the band for job reasons at the turn to 2005, the band had to struggle through it's hardest time. Finding a new singer emerged as an task barely not to manage. So after jamming with a dozen of niceguys and shouters, Paddy (git) decided to come from backing vocals to center stage, leaving the position of a guitar player vacant. Whilst the band worked on new songs bass player SIK was not satisfied with the situation. Evolving musical and personal differences and the lack of live opportunities with an incomplete line-up finally made him leave the band. At that time Daniel (git) filled the gap at the strings and maybe saved the band's life. So for the three founding members Ade, Olli and Paddy rehearsing became again more than just beer and barbeque on a solid noise level. Since Paddy's floorboard activities and use of guitar FX turned all songwriting to new-metal, the absence of it opened a new range of creativity. The second guitar shredding at full gain changed the band's style to a metall based tune of hardcore. Finally, the line-up was completed by Jochen at the low-strings and the band entered stage again. But in the two years of reorganizing the crew, logistics put up new problems. The band is sprayed over Germany from Würzburg, Aschaffenburg, Üttingen to Berlin, which makes a coherent band structure impossible. Different jobs and duties worsen the whole situation. So nowadays, hollow point is an unperiodical, low frequenzy leisure time project. Since the new recordings are stuck in progress, there is only one demo of the new material online ("With All My Fears"). All other songs are taken from hollow point's "1st year assault"-EP.
