| Urapán Ensamble es una agrupación que se conformó a mediados de 2006 cuando Jaime Bello Quintana (flauta), Nancy Huérfano Cortés (voz) y Sergio Méndez Sastre (piano y arreglos) se reunieron con la intención de explorar el lenguaje de la música tradicional colombiana y fusionarla con otros lenguajes como el jazz, la música de cámara, el rock y las influencias que cada uno de sus integrantes ha adquirido mediante su formación académica y su experiencia profesional. Intentando mantener un estilo propio, dentro de los límites de cada género, e incluso explorando nuevas sonoridades, los lleva a buscar una formación más compleja, es así como ingresa a comienzos de 2007 Oscar Romero Duarte (Bateria). Completando la formación actual de la banda a finales del 2007 ingresa Ricardo Pinilla (Contrabajo). | |
