I would also like to meet other Mars Volta fans & industrious people who have a great sense of humor and style, & positive vibes The Mars Volta are continual contenders for the mantle of “most experimental, high-profile metal group” along with System of a Down, guys they have toured with but who usually sell a million more records. TMV aren’t as popular as System NOT because their riffs are less memorable or innovative but because their musical build-up & release; although similarly jarring, TMV’s songs usually run 20 minutes long & System’s are 2 min (or so).I finally saw RHCP in 06' at the Forum (omg)S.O.A.D are carved into my heart because they cover "Sultans of Swing"♥! I've met Serj, but I couldn't utter ONE compliment to him in the 20 minutes he was beside me!)lol |
