| Hey friends!I grew up in the small town of Winters, California in a close-knit family of entertainers. My love of country music came as a result of singing with my fathers country band on weekends growing up. I was heavily influenced by my Latin roots and longed to incorporate that passion into my music.After high school, I packed my bags and headed to New York City to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy of Performing Arts..loved every minute!Still longing to pursue a writing and recording career in country music, I made the decision to roll the dice and make the move.I spent much of my first three years in Nashville doing what every other aspiring entertainer typically does .. temping, auditioning, writing and performing .. all the while hoping for that big break. I got my big break in the Spring of 2002 when RCA Records offered me a development deal and paired me with producer David Malloy to cut three sides. After performing a showcase in July of 2003, I was offered a record deal with RCA Label Group.Those three years were amazing and hard. I got to work with some wonderful people I only DREAMED of working with when I first got here.....and I made some life long friends!After the Sony/BMG merge, I was dropped from RCA and took a much needed "soul searching" break. I do believe everything happens for a reason and my husband and I were surprised shortly after that with a special package from God....our baby girl Rosemary! She just turned TWO and we are loving every minute. We have also just launched our new music group CHARMED LIFE MUSIC. Many blessings.. Renee | |
