Portuguese girl, living in Madrid due to having met my spanish knight in shiny armour. Musician, music teacher, performer, singer, bla bla, altough since living in Madrid I haven't done much in music, I've been more connected to medieval stuff. Enfim, não me vou pôr para aqui a descrever a minha pessoa, quem me interessa que veja esta página e dê news já me conhece e não fazem falta apresentações, así que aprovecho sencillamente para hablar en 3 idiomas en esta breve descripción de "me, myself and I" y ya está! Let me know what you think about it! Next there are a couple of medieval songs. Let's see how long this player will last... .. Music Details: Where to begin..... ok, at 5 years old, that's when I started studying music, thanks to my dad, a military musician, director (maestro) of the army band and music teacher. So that way I went to the Conservatory , and finished it passing through all kinds of subjects like solfeggio, music history, singing, choir, chamber groups, acoustics, analysis, composition, orchestra, etc, etc, and dedicating myself to instruments like the organ, recorder, cello and voice , my vocal chords of course ;) After that I went to university, music too (what did you expect?), Musicology . Finished the degree, and went to Hot Clube de Portugal , a Jazz school, so I could change a bit my influences, I was way too into classical music, and stuck in the music scores :S While I was studying all those years I was of course performing with groups, choirs and bands. But along that path, I got myself driven to a very distinct place: Hard Rock and Metal! :D When I met Sexto Sentido , a portuguese band, I did some backing vocals with them, along with composing the orchestrations for a string trio that was going to play with us at a live radio show (Antena 1). With this band I got a little more loose from the classical works I was used to, and I “met” Skid Row (that did it for me! even got the “ Youth Gone Wild ” tattoo), Mr. Big, Dream Theater, Firehouse, Slaughter, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Hardline, Lillian Axe, Danzig, King Diamond, Steve Vai, Satriani, LA Guns etc etc etc. Well, some of the credit is also given to my tattooist, who would take me Hard’n’Heavy videos so I could watch while I was being tattooed! Eheh loved those videos! (The one musician/band I already knew was Yngwie Malmsteen , and I can’t help loving his stuff!). Before coming to Madrid I also got the chance to record a song in which I sing with Attick Demons (you can take a peek, the full version is under this section). Throughout some of those years I have also been teaching music (solfeggio, musical education, piano, organ, recorder, etc.) Besides all that, I’ve also got a madness for medieval stuff and of course medieval music, instruments, etc. And that’s a long story made short (not that short for who’s reading I guess…!) .."z-index:9; width:5px; height:5px; position:absolute; top:5px; left:50%;margin-left:180px;background-image:url('http://123m ycodes.com/images/myspace-layouts.gif') |
