| L-A be présente le premier album de Cassiopée. Consacrée lauréate du Festival
international de la chanson de Granby en 2002, cet opus confirme qu’elle cumule réellement tous les talents; celui
d'auteure, de compositrice et d'interprète. Bien épaulée par Michel Le François aux arrangements et à la réalisation, l'artiste, révélée depuis par « Don Juan » et « Du rock à l’opéra » y expose son univers peu banal comme un
coup de théâtre bien ficelé.
Empruntant quelques pièces du répertoire classique dont La Reine de la nuit (Mozart) « Avec cet Aria, Mozart, il
y a plus de 250 ans, rendait hommage à la voix... et a` l’hystérie féminines! Inversons les rôles : Maître Mozart, je
vous salue aujourd’hui bien humblement, à ma façon » et Ave Maria (Caccini) qui allie le rap avec une participation de Kodiak, elle s'enveloppe de sonorités riches des quatuors à cordes et de l'énergie brute d'un groupe rock
avec notamment Francis Fillion à la batterie, Sylvain Bertrand à la basse ainsi que la signature particulière de
Michel Le François aux guitares.
On y retrouve également
des pièces écrites par l’artiste (Voyage sur la lune, Colère) qui livre avec une rare passion par sa voix forte, des
pièces avec variations sur le thème de l'amour (À toi pour toujours), de la déchirure (Colère) et de la vie (Rêver) .

_______________..Cassiopée began her artistic training with dance (jazz, ballet, tap and flamenco) at the age of 4 years old, and her intensive classical voice and music training and pop/rock singing at 14, followed by coaches in acting and many others relative skills.She started her professional career by performing in more than 500 shows of the French-traditional Cabaret company's « Les Folie's de Paris » in Quebec City (Canada), and Lille and Cannes (France), as a dancer, magician assistant, entertainer and lead singer in 1998, before moving in Montreal City in 2000 to be the star of another Cabaret and Musical Company, la « Troupe Paris Paris ». She became also the company's choreographer and absolutly glamorous « meneuse de revue » (feminine MC) in their 7 different productions, until 2003.In 2002, she won the Best Singer/Performer and also the Best Stage Presence awards at the « Festival International de la Chanson de Granby » (the most important contest for young talents in the francophony) with her extravagant costumes, her charismatic performance… and her bold hard rock version of Mozart's Queen of the Night.In 2003, she had been chosen to create and play the character of Isabel in the musical « Don Juan », the 2004 Felix Award double winner and triple platinum album (in Canada and France). She seduced all the critics by her energic and touching performance. She was 25 years old.After being the star of the Montreal's Casino productions « Du rock à l'opéra II » and « Si Alys m'était Chantée » in 2005, she finally releases her first album, CASSIOPÉE, in 2006. Her pop-rock-operatic style, combined with composing and writing talents, versatile and intense unique voice and a rare passion made of Cassiopée one of the best artistic revelations of the year in Canada.
She was also back in her role in « Don Juan » in Montreal's Bell Center (Canada) and Seoul's Art Center (Korea) and was of the original cast of the « Joe Dassin, la Grande Fête Musicale », a new musical revue, in Canada in the end of 2006.After only 8 years of a very active professional artistic career, it appears that Cassiopée performed more than 2000 times in different theaters or stages of the world.Cassiopée is well known for her hot burning stage presence, an incredible large and powerful rock AND coloratura soprano's voice, her unique sense of real and intense emotions, her positive, generous and simple personality and her originaly beautiful stages costumes and looks, a strong vocal technique and her passion for music.
