...to THE WILDCAT SANCTUARY!The Wildcat Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill sanctuary, committed to providing permanent homes for captive wildcats. We're funded by public contributions and receive no state or federal funding. We are the only accredited big cat sanctuary in the upper Midwest and are accredited by both American Sanctuary Association (ASA) and The Association of Sanctuaries (TAOS). Being accredited means TWS meets strict standards of care and safety. Many organizations veil themselves as sanctuaries, when in fact; they breed and sell for profit. These facilities focus on profit and the animal's welfare is secondary. At TWS, there is no breeding, selling or exhibiting. We simply provide a safe haven for the wild at heart. **THE WILDCAT SANCTUARY IS

TWS MISSION... The Wildcat Sanctuary provides for the humane rescue and sheltering of unwanted, mistreated and privately owned wildcats. We do not buy, breed or sell animals. The Wildcat Sanctuary is committed to public education about the captive wildlife crisis; offering veterinary training opportunities; rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned native wildcats; and supporting legislative solutions to the public safety and humane issues created by private ownership of wild animals. While still maintaining their mission to not publicly display any of the residents, the new sanctuary will have a center at the entrance of the grounds that will provide a living classroom to educate the public about solutions to the captive wildlife crisis. I'd like to meet:YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED... The need is so great. TWS works side-by-side with animal control authorities to manage permanent placement of all animals. Animal neglect and abuse draws media attention, but what happens after the headlines fades? Rescued wildcats still need ongoing care to thrive and live a happy, healthy life. We want to provide these animals with the best care possible and allow them to live their lives as close to nature as possible. We educate the public on why exotic cats don’t make good pets. All of this is completely funded by TWS. We can’t do it alone! We count on the generous support of people like you. Our hope is that some day, when we accomplish our goal, the sanctuary will no longer be needed. There are many ways you can help us make a difference. DONATE TODAY!(Click on the picture below)The Wildcat Sanctuary would like to thank one of our many volunteers, Linda Liebersbach, for maintaining this MySpace page. Without the help and support from our wonderful VOLUNTEERS, everything we do here at The Wildcat Sanctuary would not be possible. Thank You! |
