I'm Daniel, a thirty-something metalhead from Stockholm, Sweden. I grew up on metal, and spent most of my teens at Death Metal shows. Over the years I have been involved in several bands, and I finally ended up in Insision. Since then, the rehearsal room and sweaty venues has been the base of my existence.Anyway, you've got to find something to do inbetween those excesses in brutality. So, I picked up writing. I've been involved in several fanzines, but eventually I decided to go further. I started a Publishing House - Tamara Press.My two first books as an author, Violent Italy and Swedish Exploitation cinema, were about Trash Cinema. But eventually I decided to research my main love in life - Death Metal. Swedish Death Metal, to be precise.And, after four years of mad dedication, here it is. The book I was born to write: Swedish Death Metal. It takes you back to a time when everything was perfect. Endless parties, exciting music, cut-and-paste artwork, unreadable logos, stage diving mayhem and just a fucking great time!I'm following the left hand path - and I will never leave it. /Daniel RELEASE PARTY On January 26th there will be an exclusive release-party at the classic underground-venue Kafé 44 in Stockholm. This is a night for invited oldsters only, so the place will be crawling with people from the old days! Belive it or not, but confirmed to play are: GROTESQUE (first gig in 16 years!) NIRVANA 2002 (first gig ever!) INTERMENT (first gig in 14 years!) Yes, it's true - rub your eyes and read it again! This will be the ultimate re-union and celebration of the old Swedish scene.
