This profile was edited with msprofiles.comEditor My name is Jeff Hudis but I am also Hudis James. I play the drums with bands in and around Atlanta and I sometimes tour if someone wants me to. When I sing, my lounge performer name is Hudis James. That comes from my father’s and my mother’s last names. It is also my brother’s (R.I.P. Vietnam ‘66) name backwards. Along with all of that I work as the West Coast Editor of Fox Magazine which involves spending a fair amount of time in LA on porn sets, interviewing porn stars, shooting pictures and writing “on the set” stories. I have met some awesome friends in the adult film industry and have found it to be a bizarre, conflicted, engaging and lunatic organism with great amounts of love, lust and loathing coursing through its tragically beautiful, heaving body. I have been living in Atlanta for the last three years to be with my mom and dad who are 91 and 94 respectively. Before moving I spent most of my adult life playing in bands between Portland and Seattle with some time in LA. I have met some really cool people in Atlanta but overall I am not that crazy about the south although there are occasionally some interesting surprises. Some people complain about Los Angeles being shallow but it’s my shallowness. I cut up and snort shallowness. I internalize the shallowness at a cellular level. The shallowness is art. |
