About Me

The Gulf Restoration Network is the only organization dedicated exclusively to the health of the Gulf of Mexico. We take aggressive action to protect and restore the natural resources of the Gulf. By uniting with and empowering others, we advocate for effective policies and hold corporations accountable in order to protect wetlands, cypress forests, fish, endangered species, and water quality. Most importantly, we protect people in coastal communities by fighting to defend the wetlands, our natural storm protection.

My Interests

Taking action to save the Gulf. And you can too! Just click to call on Congress to restore our wetlands and protect coastal communities like New Orleans!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Voodoo Music Experience. The GRN and Rock the Earth are partnering with Voodoo Music Experience this year. Come check out our booth to become a GRN member and pick up your special edition "Defend Our Wetlands, Defend Ourselves" t-shirt. Or better yet, become a member today and be entered in a raffle to tickets to the festival.

Movies:

For the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, over 130 citizens throughout the country hosted movie screeings to educate people about the dire situation of Louisiana's wetlands and what can be done. After the movie, everyone took action by becoming members of the GRN and writing to their Congressperson.Over the summer, the GRN, the Charitable Film Network, and the Pearson Foundation collaborated to host a PSA competition. All the entries have been received, keep an eye out for the winners on this site soon.
