Music:Member Since: 10/25/2006Band Members: Influences: Black Beauty is an Italian minimalist rock duo from Umbria composed of Alessio Faccendini on guitar, lead vocals and songwriting and Paola Sordini on drums, noise and percussions. They start as the cover band of White Stripes in 2005 playing around Italy in several festivals and contests. Their own pieces are mostly inspired by Mississipi blues, grunge-punk rock and psycadelic sounds. At the moment they are recording a demo with two inhedit songs.Il gruppo nasce nel luglio 2005 dapprima ispirato a The White Stripes dei quali hanno ripreso cover e formazione: Alessio suona la chitarra elettrica e canta mentre Paola suona la batteria. Ora si dedicano piu’ che altro all’arrangiamento dei propri pezzi ancora inediti. I componenti vivono e lavorano insieme dedicandosi completamente alla musica in tutte le sue forme. Hanno suonato in vari locali, festival, concorsi rock e feste private. Il background musicale dei componenti si avvale di una lunga esperienza di ascolti eterogenei di tutta la realta’ rock dalla meta’ degli anni ‘60 ad oggi che ha fornito loro importante ispirazione per la ricerca di uno stile originale. I pezzi dei Black Beauty si tingono quindi di un “nero” attraverso cui traspaiono infinite tonaita’ musicalmente policrome e di facile ascolto senza tuttavia nulla di scontato al loro interno. Decisiva per il gruppo l’influenza dei caratteristici suoni del buon rock caldo di un tempo, odore di valvole incandescenti che si mescola a rimbombanti casse, la complicita’ che serpeggia tra le note sul palco crea un sound avvolgente ed eclettico.
