| Trailer for my new film 'Visitor'. Entire film on www.youtube.com/paulfromthewest - is divided into 6 parts (23 min in total) This is my film profile, it is here to help inflict my surreal, dark, psychedelic and truly west motion pictures on your minds. Firstly I am trying to enter and explore the Terra incognita i.e '' A man consists of what I may call an Old world of personal consciousness and beyond a dividing sea, a series of New worlds - the not too distant Virginias and Carolinas of the personal subconscious and the vegetative soul. And across another, vaster ocean, at the antipodes of everyday consciousness, the world of Visionary Experience.'' Beyond the dividing sea, we are now migrating across another vaster ocean and we have arrived at the antipodes of consciousness, The World of Visionary Experience. Now enter my mind, at my island of visions and explore the film's of me, Paul Bortowski. My first film is Dica, which I made at college in 2006/7. It is about a young man who is having a 'bad trip' on a powerful hallucinogenic drug called Dica. The film was shown in the cinema as part of my college's media showcase showreel to an audience of 200 people. I like my dark and surreal qualities in film and Dica is the first film where I have succesfully portrayed it. Dica is the start of a long chain of head trip movies that I have in mind and I am working on taking them out of my mind and onto film as the earth rotates. And secondly I am looking to make projects for any sort of musicians, such as music videos, jamming sessions, gigs and perfromances to put onto film. I am currently making music videos for the experimental band Dimension and Perception and hip hop artist Joe Phoreplay which I will start working on as soon as I become available to do so.
