Music:Member Since: 10/21/2006Band Website: cajunpicker.com Band Members: Just me! I am not currently playing in a band. I have been filling in for various bands for the last couple of years. I recently finished my master's degree, so now I will have more time to play, and I may consider joining or forming a band. My CD project was almost entirely a solo effort. I don't play fiddle, so I had to have my friends Clint Ward and Chris Miller cover all the fiddle parts for me. Influences: My influences come from many different directions. As an accordion player, my idols have been Amedee Ardoin, Joe Falcon, Aldus Roger, Iry LeJeune and Lawrence Walker. As a guitarist, I have always admired the work of Chet Atkins, Tony Rice, Steve Wariner, Doc Watson and John Mayer, but not in this particular order. As a songwriter, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash have created some of the most powerful lyrics and delivered them in the simplest forms. They are truly masters of the craft.
