P.S.-I don't dig private profiles. I want to "meet" the kitty requesting me before I accept. And I don't look fondly on offensive names!! My name is George. I'm a cat. I'm about 10 or 11 years old. I like long naps in the sun, watching the world through my front window, and being loved. Daddy calls me Buddy because I'm so loving. I just like attention, really. Okay, I REALLY REALLY REALLY like attention! Spicy is my woman. She spices up my life. She's so good to me. She makes sure that I eat and pee and all that stuff and she bathes me and plays with me and fights with me and lays with me. She's super! Mommy calls her Princess because she's so special to all of us. I have kidney disease. I'm under 8 pounds right now. I was 13 pounds in 2000. I have yummy food from the vet that's supposed to help me maintain a healthy weight. I also get icky vitamin goo stuff to help my anemia. Cool thing about anemia- I get my own heated bed to keep my body temp up! Part of my illness is that I get constipated. It's part of the dehydration. The litterbox gets a bit stressful at times, but Mommy weilds that warm wet washcloth with authority when I'm done! Constipation is a huge appetite killer. I don't recommend it. ;) We're trying out some Metamucil right now to see if it will help my poo. I tried Slippery Elm Bark a while back- I've heard great things about it- but it wasn't a good match for me. It actually upset my tummy instead of soothing it. Pepcid had that effect, too. I don't take that anymore. I don't need it!! I have high blood pressure, so I get medicine for that. Yup, it's all a part of my illness. Another name for it is Chronic Renal Failure. They have to test my blood every three months. I may be a nice guy, but not when you're holding me down on THAT table!!! I get different needles at home. They call it sub-q or subcutaneous fluids. What it really means is Mommy puts a blob of water under my skin to help fight dehydration- AND constipation. I love getting my juicy-juice. It makes me feel good. I get 100 mL twice a day. They called me Johnny Appleseed back then because my previous people had left me in the Johnny Appleseed Room at the Coliseum when the SPCA people were there. They took good care of me at the SPCA, and there were lots of other kitties to play with. I'm very social, you see, and that was like a kitty social heaven... but my mommy gives me so much attention, I wouldn't trade her for anything! I like when she picks me up. I'll hug her neck with my front paws and just hold on while she walks around and does whatever it is that people are always doing around the house. I love burrowing my face up in her hair. |

Movies:Movies? Nah, let's talk about food. I love bread. I love sneaking up to the table when you leave bread unattended for just a second, and eating a hole right in the middle of your bread. You know, I don't even care if it's still in the bag! That plastic ain't too hard to chew a hole in. I like potato chips too. It's been a long time since I've had some of them! Mommy told Daddy not to share his dinner with me because of my kidneys... I thought kidneys filtered out bad stuff, not potato chips!!! |
