| Strayed from Straightline is basically my "alter-ego" aside from lead guitarist in the band August Neverends(check out www.myspace.com/aneverends), or you can check out our brand new website "August Neveredns.com". My name is LeeAllen Smith. Most of my friends know me as "Smyth". If you want to take a look at my personal profile, im at (www.myspace.com/solarsmyth). I have designed this profile mainly to give you an inside look at some of the upcoming music for the band, works in progress, my efforts and influences projected towards the band, and also because I love the art of recording. Some of the music you hear may very well end up on the A.N.E. profile, and some of it may not. Keep in mind that most of the material on this profile is work in progress and is not finished product. These are basically crude versions of guitar riffs, bass lines, straight-through drum tracks, keyboard stuff, and whatever else I may have added. I usually start out with a single guitar riff and blow it up into what is on here. One step at a time. The music on here may drastically vary from time to time. Some of it might not even be music, just weird shit. It kind of depends on the mood I was in when writing, and also what I had been listening to for influence. I write pretty much all my music with feeling, driven by a strong vision. You probably wont hear many lyrics, if any.Those come later for me. I actually like to leave most of that up to our singer, Tony. Tony and I have been jamming since I graduated high school in '99, and have been through a few transitions (different musical styles, band name changes, different members, etc..) and I have to say it's been a very exciting journey. Our current, and permanent members Brock(Bass) and Matt(drums) have made us what we have become today. I can't wait to see what the future brings for the band.
