Eli Rozen is a young singer/songwriter from Israel. Amongst the Israeli alternative rock scene, Eli is considered to be one of the most promising acts operating today, as a genuine composer and lyricist. His style of writing and playing is influenced by contemporary alt-rock bands (Radiohead, Bjork, Blonde Redhead), while paying his respect to the traditional (Jacques Brel) and contemporary (Dominique A) French chanson. The songs are all in Hebrew, and they are written as little urban modern life stories that combine romanticism, poetry and nostalgic visionary lyrics, inspired by the likes of (Charles Bukowski) and (Raymond Carver). This unique combination is also inspired by the two years he spent in Paris, France.For the last six years, Eli has been working with the arranger Itai Zangi and recorded a sketches album. During this time Eli gained a great following and some air play in Israel's radio stations. In the beginning of 2008, Eli was signed by the new Anova Music company, where he will release his debut album later on the year with the artistic advisory of Rockfour members.
