About Me |
|
| The Carlisle Crack Magazine is a free publication distributed around Carlisle City centre and some surrounding areas. We support the ever growing arts scene in the City and its intrinsic links with the music and entertainment industries. There is an increasing underground arts scene in Carlisle; galleries and events organised by student and little known artists that more than often do not get coverage from the local press. With a lack of interest from more commercial publications such events often go un-noticed and even fail due to poor attendance, not through a lack of interest but simply lack of publicity, leading to an apathy towards the arts. But interesting things do happen in Carlisle and a lot of you do enjoy attending. It is our purpose to lend support to these artists, film makers, musicians and organisers, and let you the reader know when and where they are at.Currently most contributors to the Carlisle Crack are based around Cumbria Institute of the Arts but we are enjoyed and supported by artists, students and organisations across North Cumbria. Much of the content in the magazine is submitted by the readers. Remember, for us to support you, we need you to support us!For submissions of articles, artwork, short stories and poetry (or for further information) please contact Mark or Ben at carlislecrackmagazine@hotmail.comFor matters concerning this website please contact Sian at carlislecrack@hotmail.com
This Month's Issue: Back Page Art: Art Amnesty. The art amnesty is out space for you, the readers to display your artwork, doodles and photographs. Send us your artwork and we'll try to include it in our montage for the City to see. Unfortunately we can't garantee that all work sent to us will be included but we'll get as much of it on the page as we can.Featured Artists: Iris PriestGet Your Own! | View SlideshowTo submit work email Sian at carlislecrack@hotmail.com |
