About Me |
|
.. Armed with a spine tingling voice, lyrical depth, and melodies that never leave your side, this young songwriter has nothing but a bright future ahead of him in the music he creates. Geoffrey J. has been influenced from the work of such industry legends as John Lennon, Bob Dylan, and Lou Reed and applied them to a collection of music that instantly qualifies him as one of the most dynamic and mature songwriters to emerge in recent memory. Born in Tucson, Arizona, Geoffrey wrote vocal melodies and stories as a child. As an adolescent he began teaching himself various instruments, writing poetry, and acquiring the skills of songwriting. After experimenting with drums, piano and other instruments and demonstrating an ability to learn them in a short period of time, Geoffrey became focused on the acoustic guitar, harmonica, and his vocal performance. Understanding that not only writing original music would help him grow a career in music but finding the right musicians to help him bring his songs to life in a live performance was the ultimate goal. Geoffrey decided to focus on finding musicians who were blues-toned seasoned professionals. In April of 2006, he met this great circle of blues musicians at "Pennington Place", a rehearsal studio in downtown Tucson.
