I am walking in Helsinki, whose streets are covered with cold autumn fog. The dead leaves crunching under my high heel shoes remind me of those broken hearted people, who have lost their passion for living through this coming dark season of the year. The promises made, kisses and trust are strolling rootless on the ground...But we're blessed for being able to forget but most of all to FORGIVE! Fortunately, time goes on and anything can happen! Perhaps this oncoming season is the most romantic period yet to come! I'm Finnish singer/songwriter called Sansa. My debut album Vagabond Girl (Warner Music Finland, produced by Douglas Pashley) was released in 2005. My path with Warner Finland parted in 2006. When you close one door there's always new to open! For me it was exciting and refreshing change. Spending these last couple of years improving my writing, playing and searching for my own peculiar path. (which's never-ending process...) I met my becoming producer/pianist /arranger Visa Oscar, who encouraged me on writing and loved my songs as the way they came about. We started recording demos at Visa's home studio in 2005 and found the opportunity to record a full album at Minor Music's studio in Helsinki during 2006 - 2008. The songs I've written on my second album are little stories of survivals, of desperate love turning into a great passion and other way around; how you can never know what's gonna happen although you try so hard to arrange and handle your future. Symbols of nature play a great role in my lyrical imagery. The oncoming album 'Under My Blanket' is a mixture of acoustic elements dipped in a taste of electronic umbrage. I've been playing since I was 16, ...at first singing was a way of letting out the anger and frustration I held inside of me. Later on, I was blown away by the strenght and pleasure I found in music. It was like another existence, a place where I felt safe, free and passionate...but I was around 20 when started to play more seriously. I went to a music school to learn some song structures etc.... but most of all I listened to a lot of inspiring music such as Björk, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie and many, many others. I get inspired by life in general: people, countries, nature and sudden encounters. MUSIC is like the first snow hovering quietly in the sky. Giving us a chance to rest under it's soft, warm blanket.
