About Me |
|
| The legendary Ron Splinter (he still doesn't get mad when you call him Ronnie), guitar player, songwriter and co-leader with Wally Tax of the monumental Outsiders, is back doing what he does best; playing thunderous rhythm and solo guitar in his unique way and writing songs. He has found a new partner in crime, singersongwriter Jerry Turner, who played in famous local bands. Together they turn out one catchy rock song after another. Their debut album is loaded with potential classics that you only have to hear once to remember them forever. They recruited the wonderful Jim Pacobs on organ plus Fat Pete and Ruud van Meerlant, one of the most powerful rhythm sections around. They're called The Dam, because they want to make it clear that they are from Amsterdam, and they named their album Beautiful Trash, because thatÃs just what it is. Their roots may lie in the sixties but their songs, their playing and production are in the here and now. | |
