| Mortum is a Blackened Death/Thrash metal band that formed in Central New Jersey in the month of July and the year of 2006 by Guitarist Adam(EDIFICE) and Bassist/Vocalist George(HATRED EMBRACED). Mortum along with other New Jersey bands help try to keep the New Jersey metal scene alive in there homestate as well. After the band formed they started out playing cover songs by there favorite bands which include Mayhem,Slayer, and Burzum but then decided to start wrting there own material. After some lineup changes and no releases at all in July of 07 Mortum picked up there 3rd drummer Nick (BLOODLUST/ex-NACHTSTEER). This lineup is the strongest the band has ever had and a few months later the band then released there first 5 song demo February 9th, 2008. T-shirts have also been printed as well. Currently Mortum is working on there first full length album to be recorded in early summer hopefully in June and also the band is anxcious to play more SHOWS.
