| Kansas City beat maker opus grey has been makin beats since 1999. Playing in local Kansas City punk rock and ska bands since '94 he has a wide veriety of influences that he brings to hiphop. Real name Justin Mantooth, adopting the alias opus grey in 2002. Now working as a fulltime recording engineer/ producer in Kansas City, Mo. Opus has worked on hiphop projects for local, national, and international artists such as: THE DEEP THINKERS, OHNO, RHYMESAYERS ENT, TECH N9NE, MAC LETHAL, APPROACH, SELF, BEATBROKER, AWICH(japan), NEGRO SCO, BROTHER OF MOSES, JOE GOOD, BOY BIG, YUK MOUTH, SYMBOL HEAVY, SG,RICH THE FACTOR, LIL FLIP, TOP BOOM, NEZBEAT, JOHNNY QUEST, SLEEPER, JUNGLE TEAM(the jungle), LENARD D-STROY, KRIZZ KALICO, T PAIN, BOYD PRO, L.O.C(denmark) and many many more including all styles of rock, blues, folk, and jazz music. Though mainly focused on his engineering skills for the past couple of years. He is now returing to beat production and playing bass guitar for Kansas City rock band Steal The Sun. Expect an opus grey release sometime in 2007. | |
