| From church to the stage, the young singer started her career very early, with only six years old, singing gospel music. Then when she was thirteen, she started to study at some of the most important music schools in Brazil like Fundação das Artes and ULM Tom Jobim. That's when she discovered jazz and Brazilian music. In 2003, she made her debut as a solo singer at the concert Elis Uma Sabiá, a tribute to Elis Regina, then once again in 2004 she was a solo at the concert RESPECT – The history of jazz. From those moments on she didn’t stop and started her own concerts with a quartet, always focused on Brazilian music. Some important names are part of her career, she performed with the famous bass player Itamar Collaço, and the phenomenal singer, composer and guitarist Filó Machado. In 2005 she was invited to sing on another tribute to Elis Regina, in this concert also performed Adriana Godoy, Silvia Maria, Fatima Guedes among others. Nowadays she’s performing with the quartet around the Brazilian ground.Keila Abeid ingressou no mundo musical muito cedo, cantando música gospel nas igrejas desde os seis anos de idade. Em 1996 começou o curso de canto erudito na Fundação das artes de São Caetano do Sul . Foi lá que teve seu primeiro contato com o jazz, nos grupos de prática e improviso dirigidos pelo professor Mário Chechetto. Depois ingressou a ULM – Tom Jobim (Universidade Livre de Música) cursando canto popular com a renomada professora Pat Escobar, aprimorando seu repertório no jazz e na música brasileira. Também na ULM, teve aulas de prática de conjunto com o professor e contra baixista Itamar Collaço.
Participou como solista do espetáculo “Elis uma sabiá” Um tributo realizado à cantora Elis Regina, no teatro São Pedro, e atuou também como solista no show RESPECT – a história do jazz, realizado no bar Ton Ton. Foi convidada a participar de um tributo à Elis Regina, juntamente com outras cantoras como Silvia Maria, Adriana Godoy e Fátima Guedes. Já se apresentou ao lado de grandes nomes como Itamar Collaço e Filó Machado.
Agora apresenta seu trabalho com o quarteto em casas de São Paulo, com o repertório de música brasileira.
