| NEWS: Venerdì 23 novembre 2007 Awa è premiata al MEI con il DEMO AWARD 2006/07 da DEMO, la nota trasmissione di Radio Rai1 condotta da Michael Pergolani e Renato Marengo. Il poliedrico talento di Awa è stato notato anche da Cristina Comencini che l’ha scelta coma attrice per interpretare il ruolo di Veronique nel suo ultimo film, “Bianco e Nero”, attualmente nelle sale.------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------Awa è nata a Parigi da genitori senegalesi ed ha vissuto nella capitale francese la maggior parte della propria vita, in un quartiere dove razze e culture si intrecciano e si amalgamano influenzandosi reciprocamente. Durante i suoi studi, ha effettuato diverse esperienze allestero, parla francese, italiano, inglese, spagnolo e wolof (lingua del Senegal). Awa si è stabilita in Italia dove vive da sette anni. La sua passione per la musica è nata "avec elle". La voce di Awa si caratterizza per una bellissima timbrica vocale, calda ed espressiva. Dopo aver cantato con diverse formazione sta attualmente lavorando sul suo primo progetto originale con Massimo Giangrande. Canta con Valerio Guaraldi (chitarra) nel duo Songs for Two (pop'n jazz). Con Arturo Valiante (Piano) e Valerio Serangeli (basso) nel trio jazz Chantons!--------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------Awa was born and raised in Paris, her origins are from Senegal...she lives now in Rome. As far as she can remember, she always had a deep passion for music and singing.
