"We're all held together by the strands of a common thread." - Briggs/Rush/Sellers Hi Friends,My name is Dee Briggs, and I'm a songwriter. Uhm... this is where you all say "Hi Dee". Or something like that. Anyway, hi. I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I grew up listening and playing along with a decidedly peculiar blend of sounds from Styx and Yes to Hall & Oats or Genesis, Tower of Power to Merle Haggard, AC/DC to Bob Wills & his Texas Playboys. As a result of such a variety of influence, I write and perform in whatever style I feel fits the moment. God has blessed me with the ability to "wing it", and for that I am particularly grateful because no matter how much theory I've mastered in my musical life, there's always a reason to just "go with yer gut". I've had the honor of sharing the stage with some of my favorite writers and performers, and look forward to many more such experiences. I'm thankful for my co-writers, all of you.
