What do you do when your life is at a cross road? Which choice do you make and if so is it the right one? I’ve lingered here longer than I hoped, But whither do I go? I am scared, so scared of the future that I wish to stay in this shell I have built around me. I do not yet have the courage to leave everything and everyone. I cannot yet forsake all, but I must. Will I find the strength and if so will it be too late? Alas that I shall say farewell to all I love and cherish.I sometimes forget, yet always remember how different I am from everyone else. I am strange, very strange. How I longed to be at least a little normal, but life it seems has a will of its own. I will never be like you, nor do I wish to, but deep down inside of me I wished that for one day our lives would switch so that someone would understand what its like to live in my hopeless shoes. To know what its like to dread waking up everyday because it leads to nothing, to nowhere. To look up at the endless stars and ask questions as if they listen and desperately await an answer. Now each day I walk this earth beyond time into nothingness and I sometimes forget, yet always remember my way home. |
