| It goes like this: Pete and Grant were best friends in high school. They became close friends with Ray, who they played soccer with. Ray went to ECU and Pete and Grant chilled at his place a lot. Pete and Grant graduated and went to UNC, where they roomed together. Ray and Pete played several shows in the past, with Ray on congas. Ray and Pete worked out the rhythm arrangements to these songs while Pete was in Greenville over the summer. Pete and Patrick first played together while in Paris this summer, and quickly developed the guitar interplay heard on these tracks. Grant joined the band in August and the Finns were born. Their first studio album, Never Look Back, was released in October 2006. In March 2007, they finished writing their followup, Leave the Kids at Home, and recorded a demo featuring 3 of the 13 songs on the album. The Finns continue to write new material and are busy booking even more gigs. Check back for show times, and enjoy the music. | |
