About Me

..Manhattan born and Brooklyn raised, MYLES REIFF cut his creative teeth as a teenager playing guitar in the short-lived but infamous New York Hardcore band Altercation. He spent the next decade on the independent music scene. In those years he collaborated and shared the stage with members of legendary underground bands such as Kraut, Missing Foundation and The Rollins Band.
In the late 90's NYU Film Student Brian Ash saw a performance of Hand on the Pump, an off - off Broadway stage play Myles had written based on his experiences working in a gas station in East Flatbush Brooklyn. Ash decided he wanted to turn the play into a film. THE RESULTING MOVIE went on to tour the national and international festival circuits and sent Myles' career on a new path.
In 2001 Reiff and Ash co-wrote THE ROAD TO GRACELAND a trilogy of animated prequels to the Warner Bros. release, 3000 Miles to Graceland, starring Kevin Costner and Christian Slater. The animations marked the first time a major films cast helped create original content for the Internet and won the award for best drama at the World Animation Celebration that same year.
2001 was also the year Myles shot his Directorial debut THE FOUR QUESTIONS and toured the festival circuit for the second time.
In 2002 Reiff and Ash made the move to features, first serving as script doctors on the Universal release PAPER SOLDIERS and then writing HITTIN IT for Lions Gate Films.
In 2003 Myles relocated to Los Angeles and started working as a Producer in reality and documentary Television. Myles' Television credits include shows for FOX, A&E, MTV, SPIKE TV, the History Channel, FX, TLC and Bravo among others.

So last week it was Johnny and this week it's Russ Meyer. I never met mister Meyer and my attachment to his work is much less personal than it was to John's. We didn't come from the same city, gener...
