He is founding member of The Orb, regarded by many as the pioneers of ambient house music. The Orb’s music dates back to the late 80’s with their classic track ‘Little Fluffy Clouds’ released shortly after, an anthem of yesteryears rave culture. No matter how much material The Orb released in the 90’s it always sounded fresh working with everything from modern dance to leftfield, which alongside their amazing live shows earned them a legendary status. Now in the 21st century Alex is producing on German label Kompakt alongside Thomas Fehlmann, which has seen more minimalist techno appearing. We’re really excited to experience what the unpredictable Alex Paterson has to offer us.On warm up duties is resident Leo (Junior) and Manchester hero Stefano (Senior), playing one of their twisted discoid sessions. Of course Annie Errez will be on hand to provide all the usual techno trimmings, which will have you rocking into the early hours of Sunday morning. | |
