| Formed by long time friends, Kyle Wagner and Paul Drummond on guitar and drums respectively. The nucleus of Civil Ruin solidified in 2003 with recruitment of veteran bassist Rick Struve and a common desire to seamlessly blend modern-day brutality with melody and hooks of classic metal. Civil Ruin began gigging with vocalist Chris Mathis and guitarist Taylor Lipton, quickly carving out a reputation as a vicious live act in the Vancouver/lower mainland scene. In 2006, after a road trip through western Canada, the band entered omega Media core Studios with Producer Ariel to record their full-length debut album"Dead Minds Think Alike." In 2007 line up changes were made to strengthen the band. Welcoming air-tight and razor sharp guitarist Jeff Copple and Front man Joe "the voice of hatred incarnate" Klemionec. Civil Ruin looks forward to playing where and whenever possible to share their fierce passion and dedication for metal with the masses. Honesty,a Strong work ethic and demented sense of humor are Civil Ruin's trademarks.They stand ready to unleash the Brutality that is Civil Ruin on the world .... | |
