| Keco Brandão is a songwriter, arranger, vocalist, musician, MIDI programmer and music producer. He's recently been invited by Brazilian pianist and arranger César Camargo Mariano to join the road band of renowned brazilian singer Gal Costa as the band's pianist. He also creates, arranges and produces advertising music for Lua Nova Music Productions and writes, arranges and performs music for the independent label, Lua Music, under the direction of Thomas Roth. Keco's eclectic solo discography includes 9 albums: ''Tatanka'', a tribute to the indigenous peoples of the Americas; ''Classical'n'Bossa'', a selection of 10 classical pieces arranged in Bossa Nova style; ''Paisagens do Vento'' (Landscapes of the Wind), presenting a diverse range of ethnic music compositions and featuring the wind as the linking element setting the tone of the work; ''Jazz'n'Bossa'', a selection of 10 American jazz standards in Bossa Nova style; The collection ''Música e Natureza'' (Music and Nature), made up of 4 albums featuring the blending of music and the sounds of nature and wildlife for therapeutic use; ''France'n'Bossa'', Keco's latest work, a selection of 13 French classics set in Bossa Nova style. Keco has performed with major Brazilian musical artists , most notably Ivan Lins, César Camargo Mariano, Zizi Possi, Pedro Camargo Mariano, Jane Duboc, Leila Pinheiro, Toquinho, Toninho Horta and Ângela Maria. He was musical director for ''Cia da Música'', a weekly live TV musical variety show, along with João Marcelo Bôscoli, current musical director for the TRAMA label (Bôscoli's mother is the legendary brazilian singer, Elis Regina). On the show, Keco arranged pieces for such notables as Milton Nascimento, Rosa Passos, João Bosco, Elza Soares, Raul de Souza, Roberto Menescal, Carlos Lyra, Zélia Duncan, Flávio Venturini, among others. His solo albums include the participation of artists and musicians like Marlui Miranda, Mônica Salmaso, Teco Cardoso, Toninho Ferragutti, Celso de Almeida, Otávio de Moraes, Proveta, Léa Freire, Paulinho Pauleli, Sylvinho Mazzucca, Marcus Teixeira, Simone Guimarães, Guello, Lula Barbosa, Virgínia Rosa, among others. | |
