Originally formed in 1991 by Marcellus W.D. Crews, the now DC-Metro Area based group was eventually joined by Wayde Bryant, Ariane Pereira, Shanna Williams-Carr and Rodney Johnson. RefleXions transcends race barriers with its culturally diverse members hailing from Jamaica, Brazil and the US. Reflexions has performed across the United States from Washington DC to California and with artists from all musical backgrounds: Take 6 and Tonex are just to name a few. They have collaborated with many DC-based artists and have performed in a variety of national and local venues such as the New Orleans--GMWA, The Harlem Renaissance Festival, Tabrey's, 2K9, Rock N Java, Takoma Station, and the Washington DC Black Family Reunion in 2003 and 2005. They have also been performing at the Fannie Mae Annual "Help the Homeless" Walk-a-thon in Washington DC for the past 4 years. RefleXions was also featured live in concert, December 2001 at Washington DC's internationally known John F. Kennedy Center, Millennium Stage. This is accomplished not only through their music, but also through active support of various charities and causes including the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, National Institutes of Health's Bone Marrow Donor Program, Parenting Coalition International "Tribute to American Families", Howard University Radio Station's community service department and benefit concerts for Washington DC, Fox 5 News and WKYS 93.9 FM/Urban Outreach Community Programs.RefleXions released their first album, "Wondrous Love" in May 2001, and received local and national exposure through various television, radio and web casts. Their highly anticipated self-titled sophomore album is due to be released in 2008.
