About Me

Funk Managment UK was started 4 years ago to offer artist support in the genres of Funk, Soul, Jazz and most urban styles. We have been helping artists to showcase their talents and to excel forward in a industry where we have so many sharks as our ethos is not one of greed but one of excelling and giving a hand up to the best of our abilities.

Funk Management UK has many artists on its rosta and we are always looking for new talent to join us as well as companies to work along side be it in management,PR,A&R,Record lables, etc. We offer many services so please see our website or message us here for more information.

In the coming weeks, FMUK will be launching through its pages here, a new way of showcasing your music. We will endevour to list new artists we feature on our rosta and offer exclusive new music and if you would like to be added to FMUKs books which will stay open for another 4 weeks (Oct 1st) please message us here via our website.

We would also like to hear from managers, production teams, event organisers, venues, promoters, labels and the list goes on to not only work alongside us but also to join our listing here which we will make available through industry directories as soon as we have enough intrest built.

We are hoping that our pages will make it easier for those working in the industry to network and pass on experiences to those that are just starting out.

We will also be asking a number of artists and Industry bods to do interviews giveing advice through our pages which will be posted in the new groups that we will set up and you'll have a chance to put forward your own experinces for others to take on board as well ask those in the groups for advice and help.

We hope that the service we will be offering will work alongside all that we do as a company and it helps you the individual to make the best of your talents.

***PLEASE NOTE*** Please do not ask to be added to our list if your site contains sexually explicit, violent, abusive or racial orientatied behaviour or content as well as friends that lean towards the above. We will look at each site before adding you and will NOT except your request if this is the case. We are ALL on this earth to be good to each other irrespective of racial differences, sexual orientation, creed, religous beleifs and other differences and we hope you will abide by this request.

All thats left for us to say is that we send our best and hope that we can work together to help make our industry a better place to be in

Thank you.

As a tribute to our dear brother and founder member Paul “Tubbs” Williams, and thanks to our former manager Nigel Conway, I joyfully share with you these rare photos of Incognito / The Warriors in the studio and on tour in Holland in 1982. This was the band’s first tour to promote Jazz Funk and the unofficial Incognito second album The Warriors “Behind the mask”. The look on Paul’s face as he digs into his bass gives you some idea of the intensity of his playing. I will do all in my power to see if we can get that Warriors album re-released as an Incognito album on CD. The album was originally released in the UK in 1982 on Ensign Records. Catalogue No: ENVY6001 on LP only. The titles on the album include: Hot Apple, The Warrior, Midnight Oil, Bustin’ Loose, Warrior’s Dream, Destination, Je Ne Sais Quoi, Drive, Unsung Heroes.
The tour line up included: Paul “Tubbs” Williams on Bass and Vocals Peter Hinds on Keyboards Mattie Collins on Piano Geoff Dunn on Drums Ronnie Johnson on Lead Guitar Chris Hunter on Saxophones Guy Barker on Trumpet and Flugel Horn Nigel Conway (Manager) Bob Mazzer (Photographer) Stephan Harper (Driver / Crew) Steven Torenzio (Crew) And myself (Bluey) on Rhythm Guitar and Vocals

It is fitting that the tour photos were taken in Holland… The place where Paul finally found peace and love and raised a family, the place he called home, his final destination, his resting place.

Peace

Bluey

From the man himself, our inspiration for what we do in our lives: The great Mr Stanley Clarkes Philosphy quoted from www.Stanleyclarke.com :
Stanley has never lost his awareness that the opportunity to excel in art, in fact all of society, is not equally available to everyone. Sometimes the only thing that separates a young person from success at a high level is the avenue. Believing that “talent, and not one’s socioeconomic background should be the predicate of an individual’s chance to go on to create artistically,” Stanley feels that those who have had success in realizing their own vision have a duty to help others in their struggle to emerge.
