STACEY MARIE BIO :
With her ultra smooth, beautifully toned voice, Stacey Marie heralds the next generation of female pop music artists. At the tender age of 16 she brings a fresh new voice, style and energy to the world of popular music that promises to revitalize the genre. Her professional persona is a rare cocktail of looks, presence, experience, drive, talent, and the ability to perform exceptionally under pressure. She showed the precocious tendencies that all great artists show already at the age of 3. Like many talented young artist, Stacey was led by the careful and inspired guidance of family. "I always loved music, but it's my father who really recognized that I had a talent for it," she says. At the age of 9 Stacey began taking music lessons under the guidance of the venerable Ian Garrett, who has also worked with Shania Twain, N Sync and a host of other well-known music artists. Stacey's music is a blend of grandiose production and stellar, catchy vocals. It is heralding rave reviews by many fans and critics alike. Leaving behind the tired old formulas for making music, she's on the forefront of a new generation of artists who blend different genres seamlessly to create a truly artistic piece of music. In her short, rapidly expanding career Stacey has performed at an impressive and prestigious array of venues, including singing in front of over 40,000 people at a football game opener in Toronto. "I know every time I get on stage, whether it's 5 people or 50,000 people in the audience, I'm going to give them something they're not going to forget," she says. Stacey is an Icon winner, as well as a Canadian Peel and Kiwanis Music scholarship winner. She also performed at the USA World Showcase at the MGM Grand in 2006 competing against over 3000 other solo artists in her division (winning 1st place), and has won numerous other awards for her performances. Most recently she performed to a massive audience during Caribana 2008, and to an audience of over 4000 people at the Toronto Cultural Festival. A native of Toronto, Canada, Stacey now resides in the suburbs of Washington D.C. UPDATE: Her latest single "Warning" features the legendary Junior Reid. |
