I-WOLF presents SOUL STRATA Wolfgang Schloegl member of of European eclectic beats collective Sofa Surfers Sofa Surfers presents his first solo album under his new moniker I-Wolf. "Soul Strata" is something of a reflection of the artists' personal life. The result is a wonderfully stringent and complete record dedicated to that one eternal theme: Love. The vocals and lyrics on "Soul Strata" were supplied by Ken Cesar, Damon Aaron, DJ Collage, Daelek and Patrick. In his collaborations with these extraordinary vocalists, I-Wolf casts a sublime view onto the roots of Soul and R&B which is miles away from the polished hi-tech glamour of conventional mainstream orthodoxy. This album succeeds, seemingly without effort, in bringing together European electronic culture, transatlantic beat science and the sort of deep, emotional impact of a record which helps to redefine the meaning of "Soul" in the 21st century. .. |
