About Me |

| Biofonia was created in the Florentine area in 2001, born of the need for an interior search that is shared in friendship and expressed through music. Their idea is to be part of a group that brings its own repertoire to life, based on the inspiration of its individual members, musical investigation, and lyrics, strictly in Italian. Biofonia released a first demo in 2004, made up of five tracks, a CD entitled "La Stanza Anno 1", produced in April 2005 and distributed by Musea, and in 2006 a 45-minute live EP "Marte" from the theatrical piece Rosso Azione performed with the poet Aldo Roda. Biofonia performs live in various places throughout Tuscany, including concerts with Caravane de Ville, Ginevra Di Marco, live performances at the Jack&Joe Theatre, and first place at the Bart Contest in Casole DElsa. Biofonias music is mostly Rock, with influences that range from singer-songwriters to Ethno-folk to Italian progressive pop from the 70s, all filtered through the musical experiences of the groups members. from MUSEA CATALOGUE : "The Italian Progressive rock school of the Seventies, represented by bands such as PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI, BANCO DEL MUTUO SOCCORSO and LE ORME, is based on hints of Mediterranean ethno-folk and singer-songwriter type of music. Thirty years after its Golden Age, there are still musicians to keep the flame alive. BIOFONIA is made of some of them. "La Stanza - Anno 1" (2005) includes ten songs, rich with evocative scenery, that go from sweet acoustic to stormy electric, always paired with passionate and intense lyrics and vocals.
