| A colorful, world renowned night club, with an extraordinary rich history of hosting internationally known famous musical performers closed its doors in June of 2007 . The "legendary" Inn of the Beginning (1968-2007) has closed for good its seems. Perhaps never again to host live music. Only time will tell.The documentary being produced about this legendary night club is scheduled to be released on October of 2008. DVD Release Music Festivals in several cities within the United States will follow the release of the movie. Furthermore, this documentary will be entered into film festivals worldwide in 2008. The documentary being produced will be about the legendary musical performances and the nearly 40 years of intriguing culture & history surrounding the "Inn of the Beginning."Renowned entertainers such as, Neil Young, Van Morrison, and The Grateful Dead are just a few who preformed often at the Inn of the Beginning, or in "The Dead’s" case in many "reincarnations," during the late 1960's/1970's. In the 1990's, bands such as Incubus, Train and The Mother Hips also peformed frequently at the club; the list goes on... |

Movies:The documentary being produced at this event is being done because of the driving force behind this event Greg Brown. Between June 94' to April 99' Greg worked as the marketing and promotion manager for this legendary night club. The Club originally opened in 1968 and quickly became the unofficial "Fillmore North". Renowned entertainers such as, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Jerry Garcia and many others were featured. Closed in 82' and reopened in 94', Greg along with the new owners (at that time) put together an amazing musical event in the summer of 94'. Greg has a history degree from Sonoma State and will be working closely with his brother Todd Brown (a veteran video professional) to produce this documentary. Progress updates of this documentary will be posted during the post production process. |
