Onesixone Fridays is ‘all about the music’ with plenty of good people, a seventies disco dance floor, kickarse sound, passionate djs, top shelf vodka, friendly staff, international guests and excessive debauchery thrown in to the mix. Over the past eighteen months, we have worked hard to bring Melbourne a quality Friday night where we are dedicated to playing upfront electronic music with an emphasis on the many sub-genres of house and techno. Regularly presenting international guests, we have hosted talented producers such as Spirit Catcher, Justin Martin, Oliver Huntemann, Alexkid, Bjorn Wilke, Martinez, Audiofly X, James Talk, Tom Middleton, 16 Bit Lolitas, Shlomi Aber, King Unique, Mason and Deadmau5 and will continue to offer you the opportunity to listen to sets by producer/djs who are not playing ‘the same shit as everyone else’. Our residents, Jen Tutty, Sean Quinn, Katie Drover, Steve Bleas, TKO, Gus Cullen, Tom Hutcheon, Lewie Day, Discotronic Collective, Sam Deluxe and Mic Newman, are a team of Melbourne based established and up-and-coming djs who work together to keep the music fresh and each set on the night different than the last. Our promotions team is headed up by Stretch and our artwork is designed by Tom Hutcheon. Message us on myspace, if you want to come down and see what all the fuss is about.
