| Zillah Duzon is a sweet & sensational "Island Girl" with a pure voice that speaks to your heart.Some may say that Zillah has a golden or platinum voice, but no! She's beyond that, because Zillah has a Diamond voice, a voice that could cut through the stoniest of hearts. Her music raises your emotions to a peak where you just let it all go, whether stressed, happy, sad or mad, her voice calms your spirit with just one note. She really puts all her love and all her heart into the music she creates. Zillah is a kindhearted person who loves to help others , she keeps the Lord apart of her life because he is the source of her strength. Zillah wants to touch people with her voice and hopes that they can relate to the many things she speaks about in her songs.Zillah was born in 1984 on a 36 square mile beautiful island called St. Maarten. Zillah was brought up in church and at the very young age of 8 she joined the choir and not surprisingly she stood out with her unique voice. She did her first recording when she was 9 years old. She recorded various children songs for a schoolteacher who was obviously impressed by this young girl's talent.This was no big surprise to her parents since they have a musical background. Her mother sings, her father sings and plays keyboard ,her older brother played the drums and her younger brother played the trumpet. She also has two sisters whom she dearly loves and cherishes. Throughout primary school, she participated in several school talent shows at "Sister Regina Primary School". She also won numerous "radio call-in and sing" contests.In secondary school, (St. Maarten Academy) Zillah sang at several school talent shows and in 2002 at the St.Maarten Interscholastic Show, she became the 1st runner up along with Gisella Hilliman. She has also sung for various events on the island including weddings and birthday parties. In 2003 she moved to the Netherlands to further her education. She lived in Groningen for one years. While living in North Holland, she won 1st place at a talent show contest in Leeuwaarden. Now she is living in the big city, Amsterdam where she is currently studying fashion design and styling at the AMFI (Amsterdam fashion institute). Early 2005 DJs Happen So Massive requested Zillah to sing the ST. Maarten Anthem.Zillah took the traditional St.Maarten Anthem and breathed new refreshing life into it. People really enjoyed Zillah's revised version of the Sxm Anthem and her voice became very well known among the Holland Caribbean and St. Maarten community. There were big discussions on the Island concerning Zillah's revised version of the anthem. There was talk within the young community about whether to get rid of the old, slightly outdated version of the anthem that plays on the local St Maarten radio every afternoon at 12:00 pm and replace it with Zillah's revised version, (but no concrete decision has been made yet).Zillah is currently hooked up with Beat-Lockz (an up and coming beat producing company). She is busy doing recordings and performances. She has just released her first single called " All my Love". This song is about someone she really cares about and loves. There will be a website coming out soon for those who would like to know more about Zillah and indulge in more of her music and for sure later on there will be an Album.
