MIACARLA

Miacarla are an intense rock/alternative band from the Gold Coast, AU.

Forming in late 2005, Miacarla have already scored support slots for Australian pop punk legends Bodyjar, New Zealand hip hop outfit Fast Crew, Sweden’s Blindside and Canada’s Crowned King. Their diverse sound allows them to hit the stage with an array of bands, which in turn, is growing their strong fan base.

In late 2006, Miacarla recorded a two track promotional CD with Australian Producer, Alex Markwell (Bodyjar, Van Lustbader, 28 Days), which multiplied the demand for the band. In 2007 the band rose to a whole new level as they endured a ruthless playing schedule performing with such bands as hardcore outfit Irrelevant and punk rockers Stealing O’Neal just to name a few. They played at both Rock It in the Park 07 and Transition 07 before undertaking a tour of Sydney in June. Mid year saw the boys taking out the title in the 2007 Jim Beam Battle of the Bands competition held on the Gold Coast. This in turn has lead to radio play of their debut single ‘The Search’ on Sea FM.

After warming up audiences at the 2007 Rockstar Taste Of Chaos tour at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in October, and having their debut single ‘The Search’ nominated for a MusicOz Award, the boys released their highly anticipated debut EP 'The Soundtrack To An Imagination' in November 2007.

Appearing at the Big Day Out in January this year, the boys will be taking their EP out on the road in early 2008.

HIGHWAY BLONDE

Highway Blonde are a hard rock/screamo outfit based in Brisbane, QLD

Forming in early 2007, Highway Blonde have played to crowds in pubs, clubs, taverns and venues across Brisbane and the Gold Coast with fantastic response. Venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Club 299, Miami Shark Bar and The Living Room have all played host to this band in their debut year.

With catchy riffs and classic, hard rock influences it is easy to see where the appeal comes from. Sporting massive attacking dual guitar harmonies, quiksilver solos, driving backlines and sing-along vocals, the boys of Highway Blonde are fast creating an impressive rapport with the South East Queensland music scene.

A Name Will Come are an alternative rock band from the Gold Coast, QLD

Forming in late 2005, A Name Will Come draw on popular symphonic influences to create a show laced with cogent social messages and the fire of good old fashion rock. Consistently loyal to their gothic, punk and metal backgrounds, A Name Will Come delivers a crowd pleasing cultural and musical revolution to the stage that simply cannot be prescribed to a single genre. Audiences have often compared their sound to bands such as Placebo, Muse and H-I-M.

A Name Will Come, who recently released their self titled EP, continue to write new material and build a loyal and involved fan base.
