YOU CAN ORDER "VOLUME TWO" FROM RIGHT HERE NOW.almus magnus is daniel almus florida, a folk singer/songwriter hailing from michigan's scenic upper peninsula who is currently entangled in a sordid love affair with ypsilanti, mich.almus weaves tales of cabin fever introspection and small town blues. reflective lyrics are showcased over subtle instrumentation – twelve string acoustic guitar, thrift store chord organ, and the occasional banjo for good measure.two recordings have been released via allegro land records. regular performances are held at ypsilanti’s dreamland theater, almus’ homebase. the spring of 2006 brought a midwestern tour with annie palmer (ypsilanti) and real live tigers (austin).occasionally, almus magnus is also a band featuring daniel almus florida as well as members of amoeba kids and confusion reactor. daniel has also released music as a part of the duos danjer and the great sardini and is currently preparing for his third release, volume three. -BRAD KOSKI | |
