| In my work I strive to reach a higher conciousness about where lies truth in a world were situations tend to be false or fake.In this I am particulary interested in the psychological , how does society work , how does a form of goverment function , what is the effect of politicians on society , and how does religion react on the two parties .I am concerned about the known reputation of Holland as beiing a deeply divided and frustrated xenophobic nation , and It makes me contemplate even more about the said issues I am interested in . In my paintings I try to comprehend these ..distortions of society by creating as to say carefully constructed fantasies in order to show the truth.What..s important for me is to get rid of problems , the only way to achieve this is by opening the Pandora..s Box , this may be a fearfull operation yet for me it is necessary In order to distance yourself from Hell you have to be eye to eye with it , comprehend it , and let it go .I paint allegorical pictures which open up a form of psychological horror | |
