| The Dixie Derby Girls are Alabama's first all girl, flat track roller derby league, established in December 2004. Huntsville is one of the smallest cities in the nation with an active derby league. Now we are one of the over forty flat track roller derby leagues in the United States, and we are members of The Women's Flat Track Derby Association.
Forming a Roller Derby league wasn't easy here, especially because we live in the middle of the bible belt. Thanks to Huntsville's thriving underground scene, we have taken The Rocket City by storm. With the growing popularity of Roller Derby in Huntsville, the Dixie Derby Girls have split into two kick-ass teams: THE THRILL KILLERS and THE RED HOT RIOTS! Thanks for a Great Season!! With our home season now ended, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to our gracious sponsors, our awesome fans, our tireless volunteers, and everyone else who made this season a success!
