| I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Formed fairly recently by three good friends who are all native East Tenneeseeans, the Maid Rite Stringband plays music based around old time fiddle and banjo tunes, Carter family songs, and other traditional Appalachian standards. Mixed in with tradition, you also may hear covers of Buck Owens, Ray Charles, Tom Petty, and original tunes as well. Local musician and songwriter Sarah Pirkle fiddles and sings, WDVX DJ Matt Morelock plays clawhammer banjo and sings, and talented newcomer Leah Gardner sings and plays guitar. We're glad to say that we are also being joined by our friend Josh Sidman, formerly of the Earl Bros on Bass. Bring your dancing shoes! | |
