| ARTIFICIO fue fundada por madermir gonzalez(guitarrista) en Agosto del 2003. Al poco tiempo se integran al grupo Hernan Montilla (Bajo), Wister Cañas (guitarra) y Renzo Lameda (bateria). Identificados con un estilo docil, inclinados hacia la onda alternativa y con letras agresivas definieron un estilo comercial.El Debut de ARTIFICIO fue en el festival ACARIGUA ROCK COPILATION (HONOR A JHON LENNON) 28 de Noviembre del 2003. Compartiendo tarima con las bandas locales: Infestus, Dosis, Five Elements y Bajo Cero (Barquisimeto) entre otros. La banda logra ganar este festival adem..s de grabar un primer tema (Evolucion) en el CD Compilatorio del mismo.El 10 de Abril del 2004 Participan en el Agua Blanca Rock Fest. en este concierto la banda logra ganar sus primeros seguidores.en julio del 2003 por problemas internos ocurre una breve ruptura temporal en la banda de varios meses, saliendo del grupo: Hernan Montilla y Renzo Lameda.Para Noviembre del 2004 ARTIFICIO comienza a grabar su primer EP, para ese entonces con 4 integrantes se realizaron algunos cambios en donde Wister comenzar..a a tocar la bateria.En enero del 2005 Yunior Gamez (guitarra) y Yoel Perez (Bajo), entra a la banda.Con un nuevo inicio el grupo se arriesga con un nuevo estilo esta vez hacia los dominios del Gothic mezclados con el Nu-metal influenciados por bandas como: Delight, Xandria, Within Temptation.El 09 de Abril del 2005 se presentan en el I Acarigua Metal Fest. En esta oportunidad Debutan con su nuevo estilo (Nu Gothic Metal) el cual tuvo gran aceptaci..n por parte del publico asistente, compartiendo tarima con las bandas: Ora Pro Nobis (Acarigua), Infestus (Acarigua) angelus (Maracaibo), Vehemencia (Barquisimeto).23 de Mayo del 2005 la banda termina su primer trabajo discogr..fico el EP titulado Evolucion el cual conta de cuatro temas un intro a la deriva evolucion,olvidadas,mirarte en silencio grabado en los estudios de KMS RECORS.El 09 de Junio se presentan en el Festival Nuevas Bandas (Circuito Portuguesa). en el mismo escenario las bandas: Infestus (Acarigua), Fuhrend (Caracas) Faceless (San Antonio de los Altos), heroes (Turen).El 01 de Julio se presentan en Maracaibo en el Screaming in Darkness, con las bandas angelus e Inside (Maracaibo) y Leitmotiv (Barquisimeto). Altualmente nos encontramos en el estudio de grabacion KMS.RECODS grabando lo que sera nuestro segundo trabajo discografico el cual tendra su lanzamiento a mediados del mes de diciembre del 2007.
Altualmente la banda esta formada por madermir gonzalez guitarrista y maria gabriela vicaldi vocal
